Been there, my friend. You are not alone! I understand how frustrating & lonely it can be to feel like you're going around in circles, desperate for a lifeline.
I've found that all of these feelings are all the more amplified when you're an expat. You're trying to adjust to a new culture, a new country and a new language, all the while being away from everything that used to be so familiar and comforting to you. Top that off with our current pandemic, and all of our anxieties, destructive behaviors and negative thinking bubble up to the surface.
The purpose of these blog posts is to inspire you, provoke reflection, create conversation and maybe even answer some questions that you may have regarding mental health. All articles will be a mix of my knowledge & academic background with evidence-based research (links will be provided). Our mental health has so many layers and even the smallest change in our routine can affect it positively or negatively. My goal is to touch on as many subjects as possible, from nutrition, exercise, and day-to-day habits such as white screen usage and incorporating mindfulness and their correlation to mental health. My hope is that you will find something that speaks to you.
